Gray Quantity Surveyors

I seen an interesting post last week regarding Tender Analysis, where the question was raised;

How long does it take to carry out a Tender Analysis?

Obviously there are many variables, such as size of tender, complexity of tender etc.

One important point I would argue that greatly reduces the time required to carry out a comprehensive Tender Analysis is to produce and issue a BOQ to the tendering parties.

You then take a lot of the important variables out of the equation, such as quantities and individual interpretation of the design information and scope.

You might still get some exclusions but these should be pretty obvious by reading your priced BOQ.

How do you like to tender?

With a traditional BOQ or drawings and spec?

If you need help producing a BOQ, get in touch.
